YOU can help NASA! Tag this SVS video!
-
NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio (SVS) is asking for your help tagging their videos. These tags will ultimately help other educators search the SVS site for content relevant to their classrooms or patrons. Take a peek at this video and reply below. In what topic, unit or event you would use this visualization?
Please only provide tags for the video provided.
To "tag" a video, hit reply below and tell us what topic or unit you would use this video with. You are welcome to provide as many tags as you like, but please keep each to 1-3 words. For example, I might tag this video as:
Nuclear Fusion
Parker Solar Probe
etc....Let me know if you have any questions!

@Jessica-Swann
Hi Jessica,
I've taken a look at the reading/videos from the link "Excerpt from Dynamic Earth"...
There are 13 videos total.
Do we tag EACH video individually?
How do we do this? I didn't see a tagging system?
Thanks for any info you can provide to help!

@Jessica-Swann - Do you just want us to explain units in specific classes or grades where this is appropriate in our state curriculum? For NC, this is obviously part of the Earth/Environmental Science class taught in high school. Specifically when discussing the Earth's atmospheric structure, weather patterns and the Earth's position in the Solar System. To put that into tags - try: Earth's Magnetic Field, Jet Stream and Solar Wind.

@Randi-Neff
But HOW do I tag those?
Is there a button to click on that says "Tag"?
not sure... -
@Jeanine-Gelhaus - I'm not sure either.
-
I have the same question.
-
@Randi-Neff This is a perfect example of what we are looking for. I've updated the instruction above to clarify for everyone. Thanks for pointing out the lack of clarity!

@Jeanine-Gelhaus Hi Jeanine! I've updated my pinned post! Hope it helps, let me know!

I am still not clear how to tag the video. I can't find the instructions. Can someone help me with this?

solar wind, coronal mass ejection, solar storm, atmosphere, climate, wind currents, Gulf Stream patterns, Earth's Climate Engine, ocean currents, Earth's solar shield, Earth's solar protections
-
@Srividhya-Sundaram Just make a comment here with ways you would tag the video after watching it. See the examples above.
-
My understanding is that Jessica wants people to reply here to this post with their suggestions for tags for the video. Then NASA (or someone) will attach the tags they choose to the actual video.
-
@Jessica.Swan I really found the video to be interesting and something that my students would love to see. We will be starting a unit on Weather and Climate as well as Water on Earth. This would be a great way to show how these are related to each other and bring back our learning from the Earth in Space unit we did in the start of the year.
How do we tag videos though?
-
Ok, this is clear. Thank you so much.
