In this introductory presentation Dr. Little Bear will compare the historical foundations of scientific thought from European and Indigenous perspectives, identifying paradigm differences that have become contemporary challenges to collaboration in resource management.
Speaker:
One of the revered traditional knowledge holders of our lifetime, Dr. Leroy Little Bear was the founder of Canada·s first Native America Studies Department at the University of Lethbridge, the Director of the Harvard University Native American program, and was a recipient of the National Aboriginal Achievement Award for Education.
