The Aviation STEM Program at the Federal Aviation Administration William J. Hughes Technical Center in NJ is hosting an informational workshop for educators on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, from 2:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. The workshop is open to all teachers to learn about how the AvSTEM Program can be a resource for you.
The session will include an overview of the AvSTEM Program, a sample classroom presentation from one of our outreach ambassadors, and information on classroom grants. The Aviation STEM Program is dedicated to relating exciting aviation topics to concepts your students are currently learning. Therefore, the sample classroom presentation will describe an aviation research topic and then explain how scientists and engineers at the Technical Center use the scientific method to conduct research.
If you are interested in attending, please email the Aviation STEM Program at 9-act-AvSTEM@faa.gov.
